Walking for health in Shropshire
Walking is fun, free, can be done anytime, anywhere
and has positive effects on many aspects of our health, such as
reducing stress or improving mental wellbeing.
Walking for health encourages you to enjoy your local natural
spaces and take part in organised health walks. Founded by Natural
England, the initiative aims to support people, particularly those
who take little exercise, to do regular short walks in their
communities.
There are a number of walking for health groups across
Shropshire, offering walks of varying intensity to make them
suitable for all. Walks are led by dedicated volunteer walk leaders
who are trained to lead walks safely and efficiently.
