Park and ride in Shrewsbury operates from three sites:

Half-price for bus pass holders!

Anyone with a valid English bus pass will be able to travel on Shrewsbury Park and Ride for half the price, that's only 80p return!

Available Monday to Friday after 9.30am and all day Saturday!

Car parks

Cycle parking is available at the Meole Brace and Oxon park and ride sites.

All sites have CCTV in the car parks for your vehicle's security.

Car park closing times

Oxon and Meole Brace car parks are closed and locked after the arrival of the last bus from the town centre at approximately 6.40pm.
On Bank Holidays these car parks are closed and locked at approximately 5.30pm.
Harlescott car park closes at around midnight.

Buses

All buses have special low-floor access at the front and are ideal for parents with pushchairs and people who are less mobile. Buses also have a ramp to enable access for wheelchair users.

Service details

Monday to Saturday express buses from all sites to the town centre run:

Every 10 minutes - start of day-11am; 3pm-6pm
Every 15 minutes - 11am-3pm

Bank Holiday buses from all sites to the town centre run:

Every 15 minutes - start of the day - 10.30am-5.10pm

First bus is at 7.30am Monday to Friday and 8am on Saturday
Last bus departs the car parks at 6.10pm.

Times from town centre

First bus is at 7.40am Monday to Friday and 8.10am on Saturday
Last bus departs the town centre at 6.30pm.

Route description

The service stops in the town centre, railway station, Castle Street, Dogpole, High Street, Shoplatch, Barker Street and Chester Street. Frankwell roundabout is served by the Oxon service only and a stop on Old Potts Way is served by the Meole Brace service only. See interactive map showing these stops.

Routes may be disrupted at times due to road closures or events, information will be supplied at bus shelters if relevant.

All day parking when purchasing a ticket - free
Return bus fare - £1.60*

Group Ticket - Allowing up to 5 adults to travel after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday - £2.50
Accompanied children under 16 years - free
Lost ticket fee - £1.60

English Concessionary Pass holders are eligible for a half-priced fare when travelling after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday - 80p

Student discount

Students of Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and Shrewsbury High School are eligible for a 50% discount Monday to Friday during term time. The return fare is 80p for students aged 16 or over on production of a valid student identification card.
